ConsultantDr. Rabindra Bhakta Pradhananga is the professor in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) & Head Neck Surgery at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH), Kathmandu, one of the major tertiary care centers providing advanced services in Nepal. Prof. Pradhananga is known for his contributions to the clinical, academic, and research work in the fields of Ear, Nose, and Throat–Head & Neck Surgery. His work focuses on the diagnosis and management of disorders affecting the ear, nose, paranasal sinuses, throat, and related head and neck structures. in ear and hearing health
Prof. Pradhananga emphasizes comprehensive clinical evaluation, evidence-based treatment, patient-centered surgical decision-making, and the integration of modern surgical techniques in his clinical practice.
Prof. Pradhananga is a leading otologist and cochlear implant surgeon of Nepal. He has played an important role in the development and expansion of cochlear implant (CI) services in Nepal, particularly through his clinical work, research, training, and advocacy for hearing-rehabilitation programs.
To strengthen ear and hearing healthcare in Nepal, he has participated in multiple international trainings and professional collaborations in India, Austria, Australia, Poland, Germany, and Japan.
In addition, he has been actively involved in several programs to train ENT specialists of Nepal and other countries, including Cambodia, Bhutan, and Pakistan, thereby contributing to the regional development of otology and cochlear implant surgery.
