Dr. Bijaya Kharel

Dr. Bijaya Kharel is a Chief Consultant ENT Surgeon and Associate Professor of ENT–Head & Neck Surgery at Bir Hospital since 2023. He previously served in the Department of ENT–Head & Neck Surgery at TU Teaching Hospital Institute of Medicine from 2017 to 2023. He earned his Master of Surgery (MS) in Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery and his MBBS from the Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University. Committed to advancing his surgical expertise, Dr. Kharel has completed advanced international training at Chulalongkorn University (Bangkok), Tata Memorial Hospital (Mumbai), and Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital (Pune). He has also participated in numerous hands-on workshops and specialized surgical courses and has numerous academic publications in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Kharel is a lifetime member of the Society of Otolaryngology of Nepal and holds memberships in international professional organizations like ENT UK, the European Rhinology Society, and the Korean Rhinology Society. He remains deeply committed to community service, regularly contributing to free surgical camps and rural outreach programs throughout Nepal. His practice is guided by clinical excellence, strong ethical values, and compassionate, patient-centered care.
